Aston Kutcher wrote that he have resigned from the board of the Thorn charity organization for anti-child sexual abuse charity as the chairman after writing letters supporting Danny Masterson who was convicted of two counts of rape case in the past 20 years at his Hollywood home. Mila Kunis is also stepping down from her role as an observer on the board. Aston Kutcher together with his wife Mila Kunis wrote letters to the sentencing judge in support of their co-actor Danny Masterson in the previous week. The two later on went ahead and apologized to the public and the victims of rape saying that they were sorry and they understand the pain that was caused to them. The couple share their apologies through a video posted in Kutcher’s Instagram page.
Aston Kutcher wrote in his resignation letter to the board that, “Victims of the sexual abuse have been historically silenced and the character statement I submitted is yet another painful instance of questioning victims who are brave enough to share their experiences.” “This is precisely what we have all worked to reverse over the last decade.” He added. He also said that he cannot allow his error in judgement to distract from their efforts and the children they serve in that Thorn organization. Kutcher also apologized to the victims and everyone in the Thorn who was hurt by his actions.
