Princess Kate typically disappears for a few weeks or even a month after Christmas. Though Kate’s disappearance from sight since Christmas Day was noteworthy, I wasn’t shocked and assumed she was okay, spending time at Anmer Hall or her parents’ house. Not so much, it turns out—Kate had abdominal surgery yesterday, and the palace is acting very evasively regarding the situation.
After her birthday and all the ongoing scandals surrounding her we have some news from the dailymail claiming that Kate is hospitalised and that she went through an abdominal surgery. Now Prince William has another excuse to avoid the public engagements in the sense that he is taking a break to look after Kate. This seems hypocritical since William has not been showing up for Kate even in the most emotional part of her life and now he is trying to be concerned on this and I doubt if he is really genuine about this case.
From the daily mail, we have the message as below.
“The Princess of Wales is in hospital after undergoing successful abdominal surgery, Kensington Palace announced today. A spokesman said this afternoon: ‘Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was admitted to The London Clinic yesterday for planned abdominal surgery.
‘The surgery was successful and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery. Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.’
‘The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.
‘Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share.
‘The Princess of Wales wishes to apologise to all those concerned for the fact that she has to postpone her upcoming engagements. She looks forward to reinstating as many as possible, as soon as possible.’ It is understood not to be cancerous.”
Holy crap, that’s right? They’re planning to take months off from recovery for Easter, which is still months away? “Sources” maintain that it’s not cancerous. Thus, possibly an ulcer? Saying “gastric bypass” is incorrect. Nevertheless, I feel like, you know, poor Kate? You are all aware that William is not a caregiver of any kind; Carole will be required to restore Kate’s health. Additionally, this explains why her birthday was so quiet as well; typically, the palace is much more vocal about it. If we learn more, I’ll keep you updated!
