A High Court challenge to the government’s level of security for Prince Harry in the UK was unsuccessful.
The Duke of Sussex was unable to reverse an earlier decision that reduced his security status because he was no longer a working royal.
The High Court determined that the decision was not illogical or illegal.
An attorney for Prince Harry stated that he “hopes he will obtain justice” and that he will attempt to appeal the most recent decision. His lawyers had argued the way the decision was made had been unfair, which the High Court ruling said was not the case.
After learning that he would not receive the same level of publicly funded protection while in the nation, Prince Harry filed the lawsuit.
Like other high-profile visiting dignitaries, the Home Office had stated that his security would be arranged based on the perceived risk. On Wednesday, the Home Office expressed its “pleasure” with the court’s decision.
Home Office attorneys had previously informed the High Court, in opposition to the Duke’s challenge, that Prince Harry would continue to receive publicly funded police protection, but that it would take the form of “bespoke arrangements, specifically tailored to him,” as opposed to the automatic security offered to full-time working royals.
A large portion of the December court case, which dealt with senior figures’ security arrangements, was conducted in private. The decision by Sir Peter Lane.
You tried Prince Harry.
Well done for trying everything to make sure you and your family have the best possible protection in the UK. If (God forbid) anything happens you really did everything you possibly could. Other people, including your father, will have to answer to that.
The excitement is all over mainly because the UK press are always putting efforts to ensure Harry is failing but thi is literally not a big failure, Harry jas a lot of huge wins that the media don’t consider them at any point but when it comes to a negative thing they are so sharp to make a comment on Harry. From Prince Harry’s spoke person, he gave the information below:
The Duke is not asking for preferential treatment, but for a fair and lawful application of RAVEC’s own rules. The Duke’s case is that the so-called “bespoke process” that applies to him, is no substitute for that risk analysis. The Duke of Sussex hopes he will obtain justice from the Court of Appeal, and makes no further comment while the case is ongoing.”
